KoolSpan Kits

KoolSpan addresses the business challenges of secure connectivity with a powerful plug-and-play network protection solution for nomadic workers and eroding network boundaries.

The KoolSpan Kit consists of three components, each containing proven security technology: KoolSpan Lock, Key and Manager work together to provide an unmatched security model, without user complexity. Whether in the Lock-to-Key or Lock-to-Lock configuration, KoolSpan is a turnkey solution, powered by its Smart Card-to-Smart Card architecture. A KoolSpan Kit is flexible and fully integrated. It can simultaneously, or in any combination, deliver remote access, WiFi security and bridging capabilities with built-in, two-factor authentication.

Expansion Capabilities

You can expand your Kit with additional Locks and Keys at any time. The KoolSpan Manager software quickly configures new Locks and Keys.

Additional Client Keys

Add Keys to your system at any time. Just run the KoolSpan Manager to add a new Client Key to the database and then upload the changes to the Locks on your network.

Each Client Key can be used for up to 14 different networks. Most other token-based solutions require a different key for each network. With KoolSpan Client Keys, each Key contains 14 individual directories, each of which can be individually managed.

Additional Locks

Easily add a Lock to a network. You can add Locks to distribute your user base among one or more Locks for redundancy or security policy purposes. Simply add a second Lock for backup or drop a Lock in-line to provide hardware protection for specific network assets. Deploy additional Locks to provide secure Ethernet bridging on a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint basis. This capability is ideal for extending network access to branch locations, data centers and disaster recovery sites. Operating at Layer 2, secure protection is provided transparently to any and all higher-layer network services and applications.
