Matt Capoccia Named KoolSpan Vice President of Sales

Mr. Capoccia to Oversee Sales for KoolSpan's Smart Card-Based Network Security Systems

Bethesda, Md. - (November 15, 2004) KoolSpan, Inc., the developer of a Smart Card-based network security system, has named Matt Capoccia as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Capoccia has more than twenty years of experience in direct and indirect sales, sales management, marketing, corporate development, business development, professional services and product management in the Wireless, eBusiness, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Call Center systems markets.

As Vice President of Sales, Matt Capoccia will be responsible for KoolSpan's worldwide direct sales and channels programs, with his primary focus on driving KoolSpan's revenue and market share. In this role he will oversee the customer satisfaction program, from initial customer contact to timely product deployment to ongoing customer support.

Prior to joining KoolSpan, Mr. Capoccia has held a number of key positions. He was Vice President CRM Sales for Oracle Corporation, where he was responsible for the introduction of CRM products to the Communications, Financial Services, Health Care, Utilities and Public Sector markets. He has also assisted in the development of several start-up companies. He served as Chairman of EDGEhr, Inc., a provider of tax credit processing software and services for small to medium size businesses. He also served as a Board Member for Mobile Electron, LLC., a systems integrator that provides wireless solutions to commercial and public sector clients along with the consulting services necessary to design, install and support them.

Mr. Capoccia's previous experience also includes service with Telispark Corporation (owned by Deloitte Consulting) as a Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services, and served as a member of Telispark's Executive Committee and as a Board Member. He was responsible for the introduction of PDA-based software applications that extended Enterprise systems to mobile workers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Communications, Health Care, Utilities and Public Sector markets.

Mr. Capoccia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the Michigan State University.
