INCAT® partners with KoolSpan to distribute SecurEdge Network Security System

Wi-Fi Planet Expo, Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, Md. - June 8, 2004 - KoolSpan Inc. the inventor of Smart Card-based protection against Wi-Fi user theft and network attack for the enterprise, government and small business sectors, announced today that it has signed an agreement with INCAT®, a leading independent, global professional services company, to partner in the distribution of the KoolSpan SecurEdge Lock and Key security system in the U.S. The agreement gives INCAT's customers access to KoolSpan's network agnostic and price-competitive approach to user authentication, network security, inter-network roaming, and remote access. INCAT's IT enterprise services are used by leading automotive, aerospace, tooling, finance, and healthcare corporations.

The SecureEdge system utilizes SmartCard-based protection to enable network administrators to authenticate users and encrypt transmissions using smart tokens that provide AES encryption without the significant time and monetary investment required by existing solutions. Once a network's access point is locked, only registered users with their own USB token Client Keys can gain entry. In addition, the system automatically verifies and authenticates approved users across both wired and wireless networks.
