ELAD YORAN TO JOIN KOOLSPAN BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Former executive director at MediaSentry, co-founder of Riptech, Yoran will continue to deliver strategic counsel and guidance to KoolSpan management for increased growth and market penetration.

Bethesda, Md., Nov. 30, 2006 - KoolSpan, Inc., the Information Security industry's leading innovator of embeddable security technology for network-aware devices, today announced that Information Security industry veteran Elad Yoran, founder and CEO of New York City-based Security Growth Partners (SGP), will join the KoolSpan board of directors. Mr. Yoran joins the board following KoolSpan's recent receipt of $6.5 million in equity financing, led by SGP.

Prior to founding SGP, Mr. Yoran served as Executive Director at MediaSentry, the leading provider of Anti-Piracy technology services to the motion picture, music, video game and software industries. MediaSentry was sold to Safenet, Inc. (NASDAQ: SFNT) for more than $20 million in June 2005. Before MediaSentry, he co-founded, managed, and led Riptech, Inc., a leading managed security services provider acquired by Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: "SYMC") for $145 million in 2002.

Mr. Yoran is a pioneer and a recognized expert in the security industry. He authored the Internet Security Threat Report, which was cited in briefings to the United States Congress. He also is a regular speaker at key industry events and has been quoted in various media outlets, including Associated Press, Reuters, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Mr. Yoran also has appeared on ABC News, BBC, CNN, and other prominent news media networks. Mr. Yoran was recognized for his success by Ernst & Young, earning its "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in 2001. 

Mr. Yoran is a MBA graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also spent several years as an officer and a paratrooper in the United States Army and is a veteran of Operation Restore Hope in Somalia.
