KoolSpan works seamlessly with any existing infrastructure, is network agnostic, and can be deployed in minutes. KoolSpan operates independently of the WiFi access points (APs) and network interface cards (NICs) in current or future deployments. By abstracting the authentication and security from the WiFi gear itself, KoolSpan enables all users to run per-packet 256-bit AES encryption, even on deployed fleets of laptops with legacy WEP air network security. As new APs and NICs are added to the network, enterprises will continue to benefit from the same award-winning AES, Layer 2 security. The Layer 2 approach provides transparent security to all protocols, networks and applications.
