KoolSpan was founded in 2001. Tony Fascenda, a serial inventor and entrepreneur with 10 issued patents, created its flagship Lock & Key products and novel device-to-device architecture. Prior inventions inspired companies that were later sold to Lotus and Motorola, respectively.
